Under the pre-proposal call, scientists can benefit from the support of the ReMade@ARI’s Smart Science Cluster team to develop their preliminary research idea(s) into a full ReMade-TNA proposal. Under the new Rolling Call, proposals can be submitted at any time during the period September 2025 – May 2026, giving scientists more flexibility and time to carefully prepare, develop, and refine their research ideas. The SME Call for Proposals is Now Open. The application is open throughout the project and implemented as a rolling call. The RIANA – TNA Access is Now Open. We accept user proposals based on a “continuous call” concept. Applications for Pre-proposals are not mandatory but are highly encouraged. The event will be hosted by European XFEL in the Hamburg region, Germany. The theme of the conference is Navigating Science Communication in a Shifting Landscape. Registration and abstract submission will start in autumn 2025. The conference will take place 18-20 March 2026. The PAERI’26 venue is on the campus of European XFEL, which is the world’s largest X-ray laser. The 3.4 km long facility generates extremely intense X-ray flashes used by researchers from all over the world to map atomic details of viruses, film chemical reactions, and study processes like those in the interior of planets. Welcome to the HZB Photon School 2026 to be held in a hybrid format at the BESSY II Synchrotron Light Source at the Wilhelm-Conrad-Röntgen-Campus, Berlin-Adlershof. (*) subject to BESSY II being operated at a level that allows access of external users. The school is primarily aimed at master´s students and early-career researchers in physics, chemistry, materials science, engineering, life, or environmental sciences. Participants will be introduced to synchrotron and laboratory-based characterisation methods that probe the molecular structure, function, and dynamics of complex material systems. The programme consists of basic and specialised lectures given in the first week by experienced teachers who are HZB scientists or BESSY II super-users from our partner universities and research centres. The second week is dedicated to hands-on training at several BESSY II experimental stations and X-ray laboratories. Participants will get a vivid experience by joining an experiment to working in small groups. The programme will be held in English. Take your skills to the next level by joining this advanced course focused on developing Python scripts and plugins in Avizo. The training is divided into two parts: On the final afternoon, participants are encouraged to practise on their own datasets with guidance from the trainers. Course fees Each 2-day, in-person course costs: If you would like to register for any of these training courses, please contact me directly. Courses typically fill up quickly, and places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that if attendance is low, a course may be cancelled with one month’s notice. This landmark event, jointly organised by the ILL, the ESRF and HERCULES School will take place in Grenoble, at the EPN Campus and Grenoble INP – UGA.
