Centre Laser Infrarouge d'Orsay

Laboratoire de Chimie Physique (LCP)

The CLIO Free-Electron Laser (FEL) produces a high peak power and tunable wavelength laser beam, in the mid-infrared spectral range. Up to 10 beamlines are being prepared, in the fields of surface spectroscopy, molecular physics, near-field infrared microscopy, and quantum wells. CLIO is a member of the European LIght Sources Activities network, 'ELISA', and grants beamtime access free-of-charge to national scientists from the European Union. Images courtesy of CLIO.
