Synchrotron Ultraviolet
Radiation Facility (SURF-II / SURF-III)
National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)
The Synchrotron Ultraviolet Radiation Facility is operated by the Electron and Optical Physics Division of the Physics Laboratory of the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
SURF III is a stable source of synchrotron radiation from the infrared to the soft x-ray spectral regions. Currently several calibration services are provided at SURF beamlines: ultraviolet (UV) detector calibrations, extreme ultraviolet (EUV) detector calibrations and measurements of optical properties in the UV and EUV. Furthermore beamline 2 is open to users for calibration of photodetector packages based on the calculability of synchrotron radiation.
Several other beamlines are currently being developed to add or enhance calibration services.
